The Dance of Words

Poetry is the dance Of Words Intricate and complex The speaker leads right As Words follow left The steps of meter Form Fluidly Like a stream It builds in rhythm Increasing In tempo gradually Hand in hand they Dance Always in motion They move in tandem As One body, heart and mind Then the true meaning Of Poetry Lies not in words But what they dance And who dances with them
