Dancing with Dead Corpses, Living as a Witch, Torn to Death
As the song changes the meaning,
I laugh out loud at the hypocrisy of it.
Left like a clown I’m left twirling around,
as idiotic as can be, when the real joke, was me.
Never understood, like a witch, I live to be.
In sight of the villagers, I dance alive in flames.
Dancing with my broom alone in sight with a crow flying by.
La Foule plays around in my mind, Edith Piaf singing in her grave.
How I missed, being ME.
Ba-dum Ba-Dum BA-DUM, I sing aloud
Padm Padam over takes my brain, Edith Piaf hollows her grave to dance
Her skeletal hand takes my hand in hers and the music quickens
Her jaw half broken continues singing, the dirt and grime overcoming her skull
Held to a stake the ropes chafe my wrists, holding fright in their eyes
Inside my eyes lie a swirl of colors they have yet to comprehend
Clawing their eyes they scream aloud, I continue my singing, Edith Piaf in sight
Dance shoes given through a grime, softly put on over me, taking cover through the thorns
Tap overhead drowning all noise, Edith is dancing and tapping Milord now overplaying
We laugh aloud, drunk on our own sobriety above the mess living through our lives
Softly now the music changes, Edith goes alone back to her grave
Nina Simone now takes her place, a scratchy hand caressing me
Ne me quitte de pas, somberly singing through her bones
Alas my mind goes wild, Francis Lemarque beings A Paris, dancing through my mind
Alone with ghosts haunting my mind, their corpses of bones overcoming my own
An old withered beauty, the eerily beauty of voices echoing through my skull
Outskirts of the town now drown my eyes, pitchforks and torches torturing minds
Flames overrunning around, flooding my lungs with the soot going through
As I curl alone, down on the ground, the night sky lights up and then
Edith, Nina, Francis, and Josephine come dancing through
They take my mind, my hand, and soul, pushing me to come dance too
Behind me lives a dying corpse, tis me, oh well, I’m dancing through
Non, je ne regrette rien blares through the wind, villagers shall burn and die
Fire catches wind and spreads, nature cruel through even too, dying together
A blessing through your death, death you called, death you’ll get
