Dancing in The Moonlight
The melody sways softly
And it’s like everything else goes silent.
My breathing slows and I am grateful for this peaceful getaway.
I hear nothing but beauty, see nothing but Clair De Lune.
Then the beat kicks in,
Suddenly I’m singing along and
“we’re dancing in the moonlight
Everybody's feelin' warm and bright
It's such a fine and natural sight.”
But before I could go on
a man with the bluest eyes and a fedora
Sweeps me off my feet.
Jazz plays in the background.
If there is such a thing as a handsome voice
He’s got it
And with it, he asks me to fly him to the moon.
I close my eyes for a second
Just to imagine the thought of flying.
When I open them I’m...
In Miami
My hair is loose and my feet bare
I get lost in the rhythm of Señorita
under the sapphire moonlight.
