Dancing with My Heart

One at a time, step by step. I'm teaching myself to dance. Hoping, dreaming, maybe someday I'll take a running leap. Every moment in my mind, learning to move to my own special groove. Taking risks I'd never dared before. Learning secrets about myself I never knew. Taking my time, patience is key Slowly at first, gaining speed Becoming the person I need to be. One second at a time, I'll take them with stride. Avoiding perfection, a crime against the mind. I'll learn to dance my own way, paying no mind to things people say. I'm learning to dance, not just with my feet. I'm learning to dance with my heart. Life is like dancing. It will be dangerous; you'll get hurt. But the best part of life is learning to keep going, to keep the moves flowing It's an art, the art of Life. Learning to live and push through it. Learning to dance with your heart.
