Dancing in the Rain

I struggle with trust;
There are many reasons why.
But I hide my fears;
I pretend to never cry.

I bear all the scars
Of many painful nights.
My memory I seared
With the horrors of those fights.

Yet somehow I've mended;
Through the trials I've found peace.
My friends all support me;
I've found a safe release.

Writing, drawing, and music;
They've helped dissolve the pain.
With my loved ones' help,
I've learned to dance in the rain.
