Dancing On a Whim

I'm dancing on a whim
I am a leap
or a twirl
away from discord.

From dissonant behavior

I try to protect myself
from constant accusations.
When I was the victim
others thought I wasn't.
Just today someone roared at me

when I had asked a simple question.

I tried to defend myself

but their despondent ears

had no partaking in

my explanation.

This is commonplace of

societies' mannerisms.
If their way is seen as wrong

or if their reasoning has

any inkling of incorrection,

they won't have it.

They'll continue to close off;

society is ignorant.

Completely void of logic.

I cannot change

the way people think.

I'll do anything to not get yelled at

by the ones that

I hold dear.
