Dancing In A World Alone

Throughout the years,

I have learned,

I have learned who my real friends are,

And who my fake friends are,

I have learned through tumultuous friendships,

Fights and tears,

Laughter and love,

But the best thing I have learned,

Is that I have a best friend,

One of a kind,

Warm and true,

My days instantly brighten when I hear her voice,

Smell her perfume,

Cuddle in the car and hold each other's hand,

As if to say,

Its going to be okay,

If I ever lost her there would be no point in living,

Life would go on but my heart would stand still,

So if I get lost on this island,

I want to have my person with me,

Because without her,

I am already lost and alone
