I had a friend, whose name was Sam

Sam was always smiling

He went driving one day, and then BAM!

The car was flying, flipping, and rolling

Sam had received a text on his phone

One that said "Hey, how are you?"

Little did that person know

Sam was reading while driving too

He did not know the danger

Of reading a simple text

The accident led to a lot of anger

As the family did not know what to do next

Texting while you are diving

Is definitely not worth your life

If you get a message and start reading and typing

You should really think twice

Sam was a great friend

He will be missed by many

These accidents need to end

A simple text can injure many
