Dare To Be Me

Dare to be me, but who was she? she couldn't be me. i dare you to walk a mile in the shoes that i have traveled in. I dare you to acknowledge the pain. I dare you to see what its like to be me, I dare you to carry my name. I dare you to feel empty, broken and bruised. I dare you to feel what I felt, when every time I spread my legs? i was used. Dare to be me? Open the depths of my heart and tell me what do you see. A child full of neglect, so neglected that she neglected her own child. who? she never even wanted, after fake pregnancies, you would think that she was blessed to carry that child in her stomach. stealing from folk, when she never even had a need. she just wanted to hurt people like she had been hurt. it wasn't even greed. Everybody watched this girl suffer. nobody tried to help at all. instead of helping this sister up, they would laugh if she was to fall. telling lies, this child had everybody fooled, and convinced. Lies so transparent, they never made sense. Sleeping with people, just to feel comforted. never knowing about the reputation she had gained. like the extra weight in her abdomen 14 and pregnant, damn that was a shame. But she never asked for sympathy. She just needed someone to listen to her. Her soul was empty, she just needed someone to be there for her. Searching for love in all the wrong places, different lips touched her own but she could never place the faces. Caused most of the trouble on her own out of fear, anxiety, and doubt. She felt all alone, an the only way she found comfort was when she was writing and her ideas would sprout. But God be to glory, and that marvelous day she found out who was by her side all along. After hours of praising his name, crying when she heard the songs. Somehow He knew that her heart was broken, and she has no soul. But his Love was so powerful, her heart he was able to mend and mold. That night she swore that she had found relief. But little did she know, the devil was dancing in her sheets. She faced reality that night when the girls who loved her, and who she loved, asked her to fight. She tried to avoid it with all of her might, but she knew that it was going to happen that night, Her only love, who she was in love with? Wasn't even on her side. With the enemies, her first love promise to protect to protect her from was where her loyalty would ride. She called her a liar. Yes that was true. She called her a thief, yet that was true too. But she never mentioned that she was a child broken, and just rededicated her life to the Lord. When she told her that it was over? Those words cut through her like a sword. Tears fell on the pillow, which she was borrowing because she had no home, no bed, no sheets. She was 18 years old, and homeless, scared to sleep in the streets. She tried not to panic, she tried to stay calm. But that all changed when she received that phone call from her mom. She had messed up. The truth, or their truth of who she was - was finally exposed. Not having anybody to comfort her, hurt her so deep that nobody would ever know. She begged for understanding, she wanted to reveal the feelings that she failed to ever show. Robbed of her virginity, her rights, and her dreams. Living a life full of lies, it was too much. It was extreme. Lord bless her. Lord guide her. This sister is so weak! Lord give her the strength to prevail. THIS SISTER WAS NOT WEAK! Lord help her, Lord help her. shes going insane. with nobody but her self to blame. Dare to be me. Open the depths of my heart and you shall see. Dare to be me. To be my witness. To feel the pain that I have felt over the years. Dare to be me, dare to even care. Dare to be me, who she couldn't be. Because she couldn't love herself, so how could she love me? She was never me, because for years I was never I. i was the girl who never said hello, but always said goodbye. She WAS me, but she was who i never wanted to become. So God bless this sister. Put the devil to shame. Dare to be me, or who I have become. Or who I am willing to be. Dare to be me, because I couldn't be me, because I had no clue, that she was who I was supposed to be
