Dare You to Smile

I’m not the loudest person out there,

nor am I the quietest of a pair.

But I have something that seemingly blares. I swear.

It is my smile and it looks quite pleasantly fair.

Don’t be ashamed to share

what God has created with care.

A smile is not that rare;

it’s as common as breathing air.

You might take me for a liar because of that huffy glare

on the faces of folks everywhere.

Believe it or not, we live in a world filled with much despair.

Just think back to that love affair,

or maybe even that death scare.

But don’t worry, we’ve all been there.

The heart is something that can repair.

No wonder all those beautiful smiles start to pare.

Let me first give you a dare:

Because a smile will make you a millionaire,

you must walk around flaunting one with flair!

I'm not kidding. That's my only advice to spare!

Take a seat on my sedan chair.

I'll take you on an adventure cheaper than bus fare.

I smile as often as I use my ceramic ware,

since it's as flawless as an éclair.

Like it? I think it's downright debonair.

You and I were both born with a flawless smile to share

with the eyes of the world so they can stare.

I've got an infectious smile to wear.

I tell no lie because, look, now yours is right there!
