Dark

I've found myself in this place so dark.
It feels like I no longer have a heart.
I can't find beauty in anything.
It takes nothing to trigger a mood swing.
It takes all my strength to hold back tears.
Because I am so tired of being here.
I don't understand why I even exist.
Or why I was born on god's sh*t list.
Am I the only one that makes mistakes?
Perhaps I just don't deserve a break.
Every smile that I seem to make,
Is a smile that I have to fake
Because inside I'm torn apart,
Which is why my world is so dark
It hurts knowing that some do care.
I keep letting them down, and it's unfair.
It'd be easier if they just forgot me.
I'm trapped in the dark, they already lost me.
I have already accepted my defeat.
I have accepted there is no retreat
I'll keep hoping for a restart.
Until then, I'll remain here in the dark.
