In The Dark

Kisses softly in the moonlight, I keep telling myself that it will be okay. No matter where you go or what happens, we’ll be together just the same. The soft light falls upon your face as you stare up at the stars and I can’t imagine letting you go. Tears trickle down my face and in the darkness you can’t see the hurt that is plain on my face. I don’t want to let you go. I can’t let you leave me here alone. Surrounded by darkness I let you hold me tight, I let you promise me that it is all going to be alright in the end.
