The Dark

The dark looks like nothing and everything all at one

The dark sounds ominous and deadly, something to be feared.

The dark feels powerful, like a brewing storm upon the horizon

The dark smells like bitter regrets of opportunities past.

The dark tastes like salty tears sliding down rosy cheeks.

The dark makes me fearful of the unknown, lurking dangers.

The dark is senseless loneliness invading my chilled heart.

So seize the night and let there be light, for the dark is nothing to be feared, unless you have something to hide.
