The Dark
In the dark
We come to face our inner thoughts
We challenge who we are
And ponder our lives
I stare into black
And squeeze tight the hole in my chest
My eyes spread wide
Seeing nothing
I am alone in the dark
No lovers
No friends
No family
So I breath
Breath in the quiet
Breath out the sadness
And maybe, just maybe
Someone,
Anyone, will turn on a light.
