Dark Ages

We've rose from the dark ages she says I don't see what she means I can't tell Where do you see the light? The brighter days? I see nothing but guns In this violent age. I see the hatred The hunger The war I see poverty Knocking at my door. We got new technology Coming up in the world Taking common sense And kicking it out the door So I wonder what dark ages? Cause the sky I live under maybe clear and sunny But I see under it's mask It's real and crummy Dark ages. That's where I live. I pray everyday to thank God For what I have And hope that the next minute won't be my last. There isn't people out there That have half the things I got Half of them don't even have clothes on their backs So before I go to sleep Every Night I Pray That even in this dark age I'll live to see A Brighter Day.
