A Dark and Peaceful Night

It was a dark night

On a dark and winding road

She drove on merrily

With suitcase in the back

It was a peaceful night

Music of the holidays

Blared on her radio

Snow fell slowly

But that all changed

As her car hit ice

Everything spun and slid in her head

Then everything went black

They found her later

The pure white snow stained red

"It's too late" they exclaimed

As her loved ones wept and cried

Dark and peaceful night no more
