Dark Beauty

It’s when the rose petals

Turn a careful violet shade

It’s when the sun sets

On the painting day has made

It’s when you have to turn

The last, the final page

It’s in the last farewell

The fight against the cage

It’s the beauty of the darkness

The vastness of the night

It’s the smile that rests in shadows

The star that sees no light

It’s the stillness of the silent

It’s the shivers up your spine

It’s the pain of an aching heart

A dying Phoenix whine

The darkness has such beauty

Although it seeks to drown

Condemned to golden gallows

Darkness loves her thorny crown
