A Dark Corner

It's dark and I'm so alone Afraid of the voices, of the Piercing screams of those Who have been taken already. I see their terror once more as the Helpless are torn From their own dark corners. I remember the sounds of Their frantic, pleading hearts. Bones crunch and blood pools Beneath frail bodies where Human souls once lived. All around me, I see fear Consuming the life force of Those who are left, like me. Alone in a corner, I wait Until my day to meet Death.
