A Dark Featured Girl

Behind the drawing is a dark featured girl

With hair so dark and eyes that glow like a pearl

Her drawings are all a total mystery

But if you knew her you'd know the history

All she wants is someone who can understand

But all she hears is her big brother's loud band

Sometimes all she needs is a quiet dark place

Where she can curl up and hide just her peach face

Cuddling with her cat will make her face smile

Even if it last for so short a while

If only the whole world was at lovely peace

The girl in this poem wraps herself up in fleece

A girl so curious her small cat is too

The only thing she wants is to somewhat move

Arizona, Georgia and New York City

When she comes home she wants to pet her kitty
