The Dark Life of Mine
I am from the dark corner
From paper and pencil
I am from many houses
Living with strangers
I am from thorns on a rose bush
Whose long limbs i remember as if they were my own
I’m from nothing and everything
From words and actions
I’m from tears and pain
And from nightmares that haunt my sleep
I’m from darkness and hate
And from the words “ Your nobody in the world.”
I’m from a family that doesn’t care
I’m from a place where i hear screams
But realize they’re my own
I’m from bruises and scratches
From crying myself to sleep
Living a nightmare
Dreaming of better places
But knowing there are none
From hoping the pain and hurt will stop
But i know it never will
