The guileful dark angel commands her mind, body and soul,

Wreaking a path of destruction as she sadly unfolds.

Manipulation and desire define their love affair,

The angel is her savior - things in common they do share.

She does not acknowledge its power - her soul it willingly devours.

She readily uses its potion, it makes her feel empowered.

The dark angel seizes her away from her family and children,

A once beautiful woman is left withered and broken.

She seeks comfort in its presence - as it feeds her body its poison,

She's miserably unaware that she is locked inside a prison.

Her family intervenes yet she's stubborn and pushes back,

It's an endless cycle of disappointment and veering off track.

Her mood swings like a pendulum deep into the pits of hell,

The constant hunger for the anesthetic is not easily quelled.

Her happiness depends on what her lover can offer,

If it fails to deliver, she plunges into a drowning sorrow.
