A Dark Moment For Kyle Brimly

A heavy shudder into my chest, turned a reeling pain aside,

Pouncing upon Truth from a vicious slide,

Leading into pits of conceivable darkness,

And unimaginable slivers of plight,

Courage within taking to smolder, boiling of riddles to lack,

Of once noble and a pronounced act,

Slims of hope and shivers belonged to lost,

A radiance aching on infectious contract,

Ripples of claws over my way, crashing upon turbid wastes,

Deplorably holding me for disgusting taste,

A gasp into this sickness, for little further,

To crawl inward for promise displaced,

And all the while my hand reached, slipped from edges of light,

Into vanity below as I beheld it in sight,

Delving beyond imagination I had known,

Forgone was my sanity, and forgo is my life,

Soon ended my first sip of my stupefied conscious in liquor,

Whether I realized its intentions, or it was my own,

The morning came into the night, and it had only begun,

For I drowned in the Citarum, in the depths of my own lie

Nathan Storlid

I've gotten my start at writing since I was thirteen, a little more put into it when I began to invest in reading. Some years later, it's about the time money trickles and overriding responsibilities settle in my life, and writing remains my primary in the adversity.
