The Dark Passenger

Don't get too close

 It doesn't bark but bites

Silent in nature but razor sharp in character

Heartless - knows only how to hurt

It hides behind the mask of an innocent

Don't be fooled by its disguise

It's mere existence is unclear but its character is vile and wretched

An unsolicited guest, a parasite

The epitome of malevolent sin

Any trace of light is devoured upon its arrival

Unarmed, no scent or supernatural presence can be perceived

Yet you are conscious of its burden

Interminable...

You fight to endeavour but its futile... this creature is clever

No rent is paid; no joy is brought

Just pain and sorrow.

It knows not how to love

wilder than any animal, no morals or emotions

A monster in every aspect; it cannot be tamed or influenced

Obdurate

Ill-mannered and uninvited

One can only pray to God for help

As it feeds only on penance of one’s own actions

Any sense of redemption is distant

Only in death will answers be found
