The Dark Side of The Moon
I am disappearing just for tonight
I must not be followed this time
There are angry dragons that I must slay
To ensure my own peace of mind
I promise I'll return in time
The dark side of the moon is always hidden
We naturally wonder why
The monsters come out of their closets
And wounded souls go there to cry
I'm travelling there to find my secrets
To count the things I won't tell
Everything's changed since I found myself
On the dark side of the moon
One's ignorance is staggering
When his watch's cogs rust still
And when life tries to oil them
Resistance is met at will
His future's at the bottom of the hill
I force myself to face my demons
And order them to leave
Show no fear, nor screams will they hear
Though by no means is it easy
A great war cry escapes me
Afterwards I converse with monsters
As we sit and stare at the earth
They ask me, "A penny for your thoughts."
"The darkness is beautiful for what it's worth."
I return in my state of rebirth
