Dark Skin Beauty

Dark Skin Beauty by Kenyatta Deshazier

You're pretty for a dark skin girl.

Is that a compliment?

Is that supposed to make me feel better about myself?

My skin is melanin.

An aggregate of smaller component molecules:

Grace, Beauty, Intelligence and Kindness.

My skin shines in the sunlight

My skin Egyptian queens leading armies

My skin first ladies leading the world

My skin is beautiful.

A beautiful girl has no time for ignorance.
