Dark Sun.

You used to shine blindingly,

Obliterating everything in your path.

But now darkness has made its home in you.

You are no longer who you were before.

You used to show me ways, where to go.

But now I am lost without you.

You used to show me hope,

But now you give me false reassurance.

The lies in your light,

the truth in the dark,

it was all lies.

How can you cry and laugh at the same time?

How can you bring down someone,

Yet not knowing that you are bringing down yourself along with them?

Bring someone home,

While leading someone else astray.

You bring satisfaction, yet destruction follows you wherever you go.

It only lasts for a while.

You trick people, tease them,

Wrapping them all up around your finger.

Treat them like your puppets.

Telling them they are something that they’re not.

Driving them to the end of everything.

As deep as the ocean,

Is the helplessness you make them feel.

As high as the mountain,

Is the false confidence you make them believe they have.

You go deeper, higher,

Than ever before.

Just

To

Make

Them

Believe

You.

Yet.

Not.

Believe.

In.

Themselves.

They don’t know that you have betrayed them.

They trust you.

They have given up everything for your plans.

Yet you give them nothing.

Nothing, but

Lies.

Wrapping them around your manipulative fingers.

As if they are nothing but a toy.

Does it make you happy?

Does it satisfy your craving?

Or will you continue this endless cycle?

down the spiral they go,

one by one, you lead them down,

you lead them to a door,

all there is for them to do is to open it,

you tell them inside,

is where their pain will end,

where regrets stop,

where tears don’t fall,

where gravity doesn’t exist,

so that they float,    up

feeling the wind go by,

in eternal peace,

they listen to you,

pull

open

the

door

inside

it

is

nothing

but

darkness,

you

laugh,

you

smile,

on

your

face

is

the

smile

of

someone

who

has

just

deceived,

lied,

betrayed,

before

they

can

say

anything

you

push

them

down,

their tears fall,

their regrets endless,

their pain begins,

gravity pulls them on

until they realize

there

is

no

bottom,

you promised them

false safety,

false sanctuary,

false beginnings,

false happiness,

false peace,

are you happy with yourself now?

Or is that smile still on your face?

Do you hear them screaming?

Begging for rescue?

Begging for you to come save them?

You don’t.

You wait for them to realize.

They

Will

Be

In

Eternal

Darkness,

Forever,

Spiraling

                   Down

                                                Down

                                                                         Down

And once again,

You lied to them.

Betrayed them,

Deceived them.

 You listen for the beats,

Of their hearts,

But there are none.

Then you realize,

Your job is done.

You were once

Heading down

To a dark place

No one

Came

To

Rescue

You.

Were deceived

By you.

And

Want everyone

To

Feel

What

You

Felt.

You used to shine blindingly,

But darkness has made its home in you,

And you make sure,

Is

Visible,

Evident,

Obvious,

To

Everyone

Else.
