"I loved you, But now I don't know how I feel..." ~ My heart is bleeding As I'm reading your words Those very words Destroying my mind. Eliminating all the brightness From my lonesome world Your eyes are no longer blue But grey As they watch me From within the shadows of your face. Every time I peek at you From underneath the curtains of my hair You turn away from me And the world turns cold. The pain is piercing Each time I imagine you Knowing I ruined us Knowing I hurt you. I ache to return to the past To start anew Back when the world was perfect And painless. I know the pain you feel I know we can never be the same I yearn to apologize But words can no longer Mend this broken trust You have for me. The fear That you'll drift far from my heart Until you're unreachable Plagues my soul. But I'll understand If that's the route you choose Never to return Never to brighten my world again.
