Darkened Inspiration

But shall I pen a rhymn or two

Of things I once pretended I knew?

Like love and loathing; joy and pain

Surely more knowledge couldn't bare to gain

Deep in sleep the words do slip

Of greats with nightmares to grip

Is it true of fiction conquering reality?

Or is it a mind trick; an unintended technicality

Oh that dark knight and his savage cool

Shall I aspire to be such as that blessed fool?
