The Darker Days

In my younger days of adolescency I found myself constantly questioning my bubble

Taking apart all my surroundings and finding the cracks in the experience.

I found myself constantly putting myself down and throwing myself into a stubble.

Supposedly I was a condescending child with little to no hearance.

I like to title this part of my life as, "The Darker Days"

Being as this point in my life lasted for years.

To be consistently bashing my own type of gaze?

You might as well drown me in a fountain of tears.

Upon all the moaning and the groaning and the flat out depression

I began to find solace in expressing my downward views in the form of writing.

I have no idea how this came to be unless out of pure hopelessness or regression.

But I guess you can say that amongst everything else, it was better than cutting or fighting.

Lest after 3 years of constant worry and fear of never reaching my goals and dreams

I had successfully powered through the darkest part of my moderate life.

And in doing so discovered a hidden talent through the tiniest of seams.

This poem you read here is the eventual result of all of that pain and strife.
