DarkHorse::NightMare
DarkHorse::NightMare
This is the space between my eyes
This is the slowly rising tide
Hear the voices in my head
Listen, don't listen
Brilliant stars are burning bright
Glisten, don't glisten
When they ask me if I ever see things
This is what I always say
Maybe I think I had a dark horse
But then they all just ran away
Listen to the nothingness in my head
Chase it down and let it spread
Hearing these voices in my mind
Silence, be silent
Silvery fish swims far away
I am loving this darkness
When they ask me if I ever see things
This is what I always say
Maybe I think I had a dark horse
But then they all just ran away
Turn off the lights and leave this town
Must I forget the jeweled crown?
Hearing the whisper in my ear:
"I am still here"
See all the floating lights that shine
Are they mine, still mine?
Is it such a crime?
When they ask me if I ever see things
This is what I always say
Maybe I think I had a dark horse
But then they all just ran away
Cold hands taunt and wave away
(Pull me back to life)
Blink and the meaning all goes by
--lying through the eye--
Creatures from many sleepless nights
--where do they go?--
Coming out to play
--come out and play!
When they ask me if I ever see things
This is what I always say
Maybe I think I had a dark horse
But then they all just ran away
Voice on the left beats till the music ends
Voice on the right cries out in pain
You see the port has all the cannons
So is the fighting all in vain?
