Darkness
As the Darkness settles in tonight, he's felt defeat.
He, the lone wolf in someone else's story, has given up.
A shroud of his final being comes around him, shielding him from the pain and cuts of others.
A Sheid from the loss and anger He's suffered.
His eyes, no longer capable of taking in the pain of the world, for they've been too hurt.
He's lost her, but she's found someone else.
She's a queen atop her throne, and he's a squire
The Traitor has her in his arms as he silently weeps joy, celebrating her, trying to get her to realize.
The Squire lays down his blade, and takes off his helm, and sets it down next to the note he's left.
It says that he's sorry, and that he's always loved the queen.
But he can't take anymore, as he leaps into the cold river under the bridge.
His pain and dreams washing away, with the whisper of love to the queen who will never understand.
For he is a nobody, and she is treated like a queen by his bully, enemy, victor.
