Darkness

My world is no longer together Everything has broken down And I feel as though I am now in a box Trapped, and wrapped with pad locks Everything is pitch black Which means, no looking forward, no looking back Looking for building blocks But how can I, if moving forward is blocked They say your eyes are your windows I guess my shades are always closed Because no matter how hard I try to explain No one ever really knows the reality of my pain And the love of my life is my oasis But also my lingering abyss Idk maybe she’s drifting and I need to face it But how can I, when I can’t replace it? Replace the feeling, of an unbreakable high A high so high, that i'm above the sky But now i’m addicted to it, &i don't know why She brings me down, just to take me up And in this world, I don’t know who to trust And there’s so much anger inside of me When I just want happiness to collide with me But instead my darkness pushes it away Unlike a magnet, that would never let my opposite stray But then I see a shred of light A light so bright, that it would beat the suns sunlight I run towards it, only for the darkness to withhold me Drowning me, consoling me, taking, control of me And just as I try to take a breath A slight pain takes over my chest And just then, right where my heart should be I soon start to bleed, dropping to my knees I start to cry out pleads, but what is this No one hears me, I feel alone & my oxygen is becoming less needed And as the minute progresses my body feels like a stranger to me I’m crying when I don’t know why And of course I feel like this unexpectedly So I guess my soul sighs But I’m still running towards the light And as I’m running but not out of time, I realize The light is nothing but the moon in the night Something like, a figment of my imagination Because it isn’t real, & no I have no explanation And just when I think, it’s all over, my love resuscitates me, there to break me, shake me, release me, from my shell, my personal hell.
