Darkness

The darkness

It’s funny, I use to hate the dark as a child

Now I weirdly love it

I love spending my days in the dark in my room

By myself, all alone

Why do I like being so alone

Is it because it calms me

Is it because I feel no light in my life

Is it because I feel lonely

Or maybe it’s all of those things

But why must the darkness and being alone calm me

Why do I feel no light in my life

Why do I feel so damn lonely

Why, Why, Why, Why, Why

Should I scream in the top of my lungs so someone can hear

I ask God to give me the answers

But he doesn’t, and I still somehow love God

The only light I see that God gives me is the beauty of the sun

That little bit of the sun that I can see from my curtains

I can see the sun and the light, but I can’t feel the light

But one day, I get out of the darkness and I try to feel the light

I suddenly want to discover more, maybe with a friend

What made me want to leave the darkness

Why do I want to be with people again

The feeling is interesting, but I like it

I may or may not have people that care about me

But screw feeling lonely and scared, I have myself

And the darkness

The damn darkness may be apart of me

But I will find the light

And I won’t just see it, I’ll feel it
