Darkness
darkness
so inviting
prop your feet, it says,
just for a moment
only a resting place
an ottoman
becomes a chair
becomes a couch
becomes a bed
until you are covered in it
wreckless and going nowhere
for there is nothing to see
in the darkness
once so inviting
at first, a resting place
and now
just you
