The Darkness

Tick, tock, tick, tock

I watch the seconds on the clock

I watch the hour hand graze the hour of twelve

It's midnight

Not a noise to be heard

I take a glance out of the window

I see a dark empty street

Filled to the brim with darkness

I hate it

I hate the darkness

I miss the light

I lie in bed

waiting for the light to come back

Waiting for the sunlight warmth to touch my skin once again

Tick, tock, tick, tock

The hour hand strikes the hour of 1

Then 2, Then 3, Then 4, Than 5

Then 6

I open my curtains and watch the sun rise

Its blinding beam of light penetrates the darknesss.

I am happy now

Tomorrow has arrived

I survived the night.
