Darkness

As the crooked night descends Silent things in darkness blends The world, it waits With silent breath Waits for war Or certain death. Upon the wings Of something near, Unknown to man For it be dear. Ghosts of life Will soon descend, Through tinted glass All will rend. What has passed Decides his fate. Too full of envy, Too full of hate He cannot right it, Or change this late. He drives the world To certain night The end of days, The end of light.
