Darkness
I lay on the floor of a hollow room
I hear my heart beating
And am disgusted
With its sound
I call upon the darkness
Or perhaps it persuaded me
Con-artist that it is
It wraps me up
Tightly
Bound
I wail and cry as the darkness uproots itself
From the room
Into my body
The room drains white
Blinding
The darkness enters me
ey es
ea rs
nose
m o u t h
I cough and choke on the ink
It enters my lungs
My faint breath B U R N S inside my chest
It caresses
Soothes my heart
With L I E S
Too late to know
It's a cobra
Wrapping tight around
The darkness rips out from my chest
Growing
Expanding
Like a tree of the night
I scream
Writhe
A pool of ebony blood
Curls around my weak body
Spreads across the white floor
Darkness
Will Consume
All
