Darkness

The words fly, feelings are crushed, and tears are shed.

As the words pass by they paint colorful images of what life was like before,

before all the hurt, the screaming, the fighting, and the suffering.

We were all one big happy family, and to some we still seem that way,

but underneath all the disguises is the truth that none of us can forget.

We all use to have fun and nothing separated us,

but life threw us curve balls and the tensions began to grow.

Words began to fly and cut deep into our sensitive souls,

we all began to hid from what was coming,

but as it grew we found there was no escaping it.

It was there for us to suffer through.

We learned to suffer and try to block it out together,

but as it grew we couldn't stand it any longer,

so we started acting out in dire desperation, thinking that would stop it.

Instead of stopping it grew and grew until it reached its final breaking point.

Our whole world then shattered into millions of pieces, making it impossible to rebuild.

We all needed to start over.

Now this new beginning is better and we can continue to live in peace and harmony,

but there is still that looming darkness, hanging and hovering over us,

watching and waiting for the right time to attack.
