The Darkness

The prison around my mind is black like the night

Hidden with me I keep the last remnant of light

Within her eyes, the beauty of fallen stars rest

In my mind I fly away to that place, I survive

The demons though will not let me leave from their care

They cast shackles on my heart and chain me down there

But the light hidden in her eyes won't let the wrest

She comes like a storm, breaking my chains in her might

A wonder of color I see her dressed in white

No longer shall we live in the night, But be proud

That light has conquered all, and by this we have vowed
