Darkness

Are you happy?

She asked.

Darkness swarms in

The last bit of light,

an ember dying.

After it's destruction

is done.

The ashes choke me.

The souls of innocence,

they scream.

I have done them wrong.

yet I

have no regrets.

The world is gone.

Swallowed

by ashes.

I answer her:

Of course,

I am happy.
