The Darkness Inside

The darkness opens up,

taking you in deeper,

pulling you down farther.

It swallows the light in its hopeless jaws,

turning the purest white into an empty black

, It follows you in silence,

the deafening silence of your lightless soul,

it destroys the life it touches,

with its thirst for maoon blood,

and hunger for lost flesh,

it pulls you deeper into the endless abyss.

Your will becomes shattered,

like peices of a fragile mirror,

as the deadly clockwork continues to soundlessly tick on,

the silent gears of your fate,

turn the time forward in your lost and meaningless dreams,

and in your misplaced hope,

you reach for an untouchable star,

that hovers like a worthless beacon to the light already lost in the darkness.

And you endlessly fall and fruitlesly claw,

for the light that runs away,

from your hope and soul buried by the black,

you are swallowed by the darkess, and as you wait,

for the glorious end to near,

you realize its the light,

not the darkness, you fear.
