Darkness Lives

Live in the moment, remember the past

Look to the future, One thing to last,

But how is that so? Believe when I say

That darkness lives, today it reigns--

The whispers of the trees, the song of Night

Little of little, Darkness become our spite--

Sky is its enemy, the proud and strong

And Darkness seeks the hand to claim its restless wrongs

Eye of ice cold, Breathe of pure fear

Darkness is a ruler, words so crisp its undyingly clear

Its glory and fame, go by, none may see

Darkness, by her name, Trying to discover how to be

So live in the moment, remember the past,

Look to the future, this one truth to last--

But tonight, its Darkness's realm to claim.
