Darkness in me

Close your eyes and open your mind to see,

Why you’re not where you’re meant to be.

Is it cause I am too fucked up?
Is it cause my mind is corrupt?

Will I ever feel normal again?

It’s a bad day here comes the sin.

Trying to refrain from what brings out the darkness in me,

Here it comes again, who is she?

The broken person I thought I left behind,

The lost girl with too much on her mind.

Will the day come that I will be okay?

It’s okay you don’t have to stay.

I’ll have my own back like I’ve always had,

Will I see happiness before I go mad?

I started writing poetry around age 12, there will be a mixture of aged and new poems. I was inspired to share by Leslie and my partner in life Joel, 2 of my biggest supporters; Love you two!
