DARKNESS IS SETTING IN
Darkness is Setting In
They say the world is round, and yet
I often think it square the way this life is;
So many little hurts we get along life's highways,
From corners here and there.
I breakaway looking for better days,
But one great truth in life I've found is staying away
From the dark side of town,
While journeying in my life I had been cut deep like a knife,
Cutting at my heart,
I was left to bleed no one cared for me,
Dark Angel told me to get up and move along
And take control over what I learn from long ago
When he taken my heart from me,
And gave me darken dreams that screams back at me,
Annoyance in my heart will rise another time,
At things mere strangers do;
But those are only passing ills;
This rule all lives will prove;
Deathwatches what it can give,
The rankling wound which aches and thrills
Is dealt by hands of what is I'll,
Essayed of un praye's hope to let the pain of darkness go,
The careless mien, the frowning face,
Are given to our own in shame of Dark Angels way,
We flatter those we scarcely know,
We please the fleeting guest,
And deal full many a thoughtless blow
To those who love us best then leave us to bleed,
Love does not grow on every tree,
Dark Angel says love makes you bleed,
Love hurts is what Dark Angel knows best!
Nor true hearts yearly bloom.
Then coldness of the dark makes its way in,
The cut across a heart that burn with so much pains
Of what the darkness gave,
But, soon or late, the fact grows plain
To all through sorrow's test
Another soul at dead ends.
