A Daughter's Love

My life has been pretty amazing I'd say

In part to you mom for making it that way.

From doing my laundry, making sure I'm fed

Putting ME first NEVER thinking of yourself instead.

I'm sure it's not easy raising a teenager

At times you're thinking, "Who is this stranger?"

Sometimes we argue and don't get along,

But your actions and words are preparing me to be strong.

I know it's a BIG world out here

Leaving your nest is what I most fear.

But mom please do know this,

When I go to bed at night and give you a kiss,

Know that you will ALWAYS have my heart

For I've heard YOUR'S beat from the very start.
