Daughter’s Laughter

The young lady is my daughter who usually burst into laughter

It doesn’t truly matter if the weather is hotter

Than the typical water, she just knows how to laugh

Probably because she has gone through enough staff

And life has been to her rough and tough in some seasons

And learnt many things and picked many lessons

And always found true reasons

To put a smile and burst into laughter whatever  life may give

And consider not the mistake of others but quickly forgive

She knows how to smile, and that’s her best profile

She  normally compiles  laughter in a huge pile

She will be quiet but suddenly burst into laughter

The greatest and loudest laughter I have ever heard

The atmosphere changes and for a few minutes will continue

That is the loudest, my daughter’s laughter

(Composed by Rafiki Karisa for Celestine Nyairo)
