David Who

David who?

David who makes me feel like anything is possible.

Whose curly hair is like the waves of an ocean.

Whose smile is contagious, and creates little crows feet at the edges of his eyes.

David, whose confidence reminds me of Knights in Shining Armor.

Whose hugs cover me with safety.

Who teaches me to keep my small, pea- shaped head up.

Whose heart is filled with compassion.

Who leads me, when I give up.

Whose silky hands somehow never slip out of my hand as he helps me back up.

Whose mind is a wondrous adventure.

David who guides me to the future.

David who is my future.

Who is the water as I am a flower.

And when I wilt he is there washing over me to nurture me.

He is there when I’m too numb to move,

to hold me steady when the wind drives me wild,

To help me embrace myself instead of hide.

David who helps the sunshine arise when all I feel is the cloudy days.

Who protects me when the days get cold.

Who encourages me to keep growing.

Who loves me like fish love the ocean.

When I am close to drowning he is there to dive in and take me to shore.

David, who makes me feel like there is nothing that can ever stop me.

Who shows me the beauty in me.

Who has no idea how much he has saved me.

David who is mine.
