Dawn

As the night ends

The new day starts.

The sun comes

As the stars die

In the sky,

As a flame on a candle,

wisped away

In the brightening sky,

A radiant sun rising above.

In a slur of colors

the sky sheds its darkness

To reveal that golden lavender

Kissed across clouds lazily floating past
