Dawn Into The Night

Thrown in a new place

Without warning

I'm so confused

Blank stare on my face

Inside I'm screaming

I feel so used

Growing up with the pain

And my doubts

Feeling so small

They say "life is a game"

"With no timeouts"

"Just give it your all"

Society is cruel

All they do is mistreat you

But you are not a tool

You grow stronger in what you go through

Stand even in your heartbreak

Even when you want to give up

And make no mistake that...

You are good enough

Now I'm trying to figure out my way through

This twisted world where everything can hurt you

Guess I tried a little too hard

To mend my broken heart

Even now it's hard to trust my own self

Because of how long I hid on the top shelf

But I'm here and I'm ready to fight

From the dawn into the night.
