Day

a day that passes is flowing
why do we dread waking up in the morning
its a chance
each new day is fresh
to start over again
it might sound cliche
but there’s only one life to spend
HOWEVER, that life
has millions of stories to be told and
mysteries to be explored
starting with each day
waking up
one by one
a hop, skip or jump
the next leap
to reach
the ever present and small goals
that exist
each accomplishment
no matter how small
means
a great deal
and makes us the people we are
so waking up isn’t a dreaded thing
its a way of our lives to be lived
and a ritual of the past.
